What's new...
We have been busy around here. On Christmas Eve I found out we were expecting Baby number two or Deuce. Telling Dennis was a lot of fun this time around. Last time he is the one who told me I was pregnant. Being that it was Christmas, I wrapped the test up and gave it to him as an early gift. He was very excited once he figured out what it was. We both were really feeling ready for another baby. Needless to say, we are beyond excited and blessed.
So far this pregnancy has been fairly drama free. I haven't been sick or felt too exhausted. The biggest difference is I am about 20lbs heavier when I got pregnant than I was with C*. This has put more stress on my body. As most new mothers, I haven't taken the best care of myself and have ignored some pain in my foot. As a result. I have a serious injury that must be surgically repaired. Unfortunately, that cannot be done until I have Deuce. Once the surgery is completed I will have to be off of my foot for 6-8 weeks which means off of work for 2 at the minimum. We are trying to overlap the C-section with the foot surgery to minimize my FMLA and so I can get back to exercising ASAP.
On to more good news, our house is still amazing! We absolutely love it. Of course there are slight things here and there we wished we would have done differently, but overall we are happy with it. It is nice to be in a house again one that feels like we can create a home. C of course loves his room and the basement with all of his toys.
I am going to do a family blog in order to keep up with the things that are happening in our life. I realize I don't do a good job at all with this and have missed sharing some fun stuff with our loved ones. My goal is to do a better job with sharing the fun stuff around here because there is a ton of. Keep your eyes peeled for some fun C stories.
* I will refer to our dear boy as C because my mother made me watch Strangeland when I was a teenage to scare me away from the internet and it worked. I also will not put up anything too embarrassing as once it goes on the Internet it lasts forever.
